Double Success for Thermo King at the Temperature Controlled Storage & Distribution Awards
Thermo King, a manufacturer of transport temperature control solutions for a variety of mobile applications and a brand of Ingersoll Rand, was recognized as the 2015 Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of the Year for the second time in a row and won at the special Champion of Champions Award during the Temperature Controlled Storage & Distribution (TCS&D) Awards ceremony.
The 2015 TCS&D Awards ceremony was held on the first day of the TCS&D exhibition in Peterborough Arena, United Kingdom. For the third year, the annual TCS&D Awards with 17 award categories recognized companies and individuals who make a difference in the temperature controlled storage and distribution industry.
Thermo King as the OEM of the Year was recognized for its refrigeration solutions that have improved its customer’s operational efficiency. The special award of the evening, the Champion of the Champions Award, was presented to Thermo King recognizing the company as the overall winner out of all the winners on the night.
“At Thermo King we are proud to boost the innovation drive within the truck and trailer refrigeration industry to offer our customers solutions that meet not only their business goals but reduce their environmental impact giving pre-emptive compliance with the future legislations,” said Stephen Williams, U.K. sales manager for Thermo King. “Thermo King and its dealer network are uniquely close to their customers, helping them through their daily challenges and these two awards prove that this is the best approach.”
At the 2015 TCS&D exhibition, Thermo King demonstrated the environmental sustainability benefits of upgrading a transport refrigeration fleet. Visitors had the chance to learn about the Thermo King portfolio of transport refrigeration solutions that are safe, reliable and efficient, and compatible with R-452A, a next generation, low global warming potential refrigerant.
